Careers

Help us put thousands more African engineers into their first jobs.

We're a small team, expanding deliberately. If you want your work to compound — not just feel busy — TechTalk is a great place to do it.

Why work here

  • Outcomes you can feel. Every cohort, you watch students you helped go from "I'm not sure I'm cut out for this" to "I just shipped my first feature in production."
  • Real autonomy. Small team, no theatre. Make a decision, ship it, learn from it. Repeat.
  • Honest comp. Market-rate cash, real equity, transparent leveling. We share the comp band before any offer.
  • Remote-friendly. Most roles are remote within CAT timezone or hybrid in Pretoria/Cape Town. We get together in person every quarter.
  • Real PTO. 24 days, taken seriously. Nobody emails you on holiday.

Our hiring process

  1. Application — a short form and your CV or LinkedIn. No cover letter needed.
  2. 30-min intro call with the hiring manager. Mostly about your goals and the role.
  3. Practical exercise — for engineering roles, a short paid project (4 hours, R3,000) on a real-shaped problem. Not leetcode.
  4. Team conversations — 2–3 calls with people you'd work with daily.
  5. Offer — within a week of final interviews. Comp band shared up front.
