You get pre-vetted talent

Every TechTalk alumnus has shipped real features in real teams under real code review for at least 12 weeks. The signal-to-noise ratio is dramatically higher than a stack of CVs from a job board. Your interviewers spend their time on judgement and culture, not on filtering basics.

You get diverse hires

TechTalk explicitly recruits from a wide range of universities, backgrounds, and demographics. Our 2025 cohort was 47% women, 100% African, and represented twelve universities. Our partners hire from a meaningfully more diverse pool than they would on the open market.

You don't pay placement fees

We're funded by partnership commitments, not per-hire commissions. There's no incentive distortion — we introduce alumni to companies that genuinely fit them, not to whoever pays the highest bounty.

We work with scale-ups, established tech companies, and several of South Africa's largest banks and insurers. Specific partner names available under NDA on a partner intro call.

How project partnerships work

  • You bring a real engineering problem — not a make-work intern project. Something you'd genuinely build if you had the headcount.
  • We bring 4–8 students, a senior mentor, and project management.
  • We agree on scope and IP up front. By default the IP belongs to your company; the students get a portfolio piece and a reference.
  • You get a working system in 8–12 weeks, with the option to hire any of the students who worked on it.
